Fix Computer Problems Fixing PC Problems
Fixing pc problems doesn't have to be the headache that many people think it is. In fact, most people can fix computer problems just fine all by themselves, without having to send their computers in to costly repair shops. Here are some tips to help you fix computer problems.
1. First, make sure that your computer is not overloaded and being stripped of its resources. This means making sure that your start up menu does not have too many programs loaded into it. Having an overloaded start up menu can bog down all of your computer's operational resources.
2. See if there are any files that can be taken off of your hard drive. Photos can be uploaded to sites like Photobucket or Flickr which makes them easier to share with others. You might also think about investing in an external hard drive. External hard drives provide great back up systems for your computer and the files on it. They can hold quite a bit which will free up a lot of your computer's resources.
3. Make sure you are keeping up with your computer's maintenance. Often, fixing PC problems can be done just by performing a few maintenance tasks. Make sure that not too much time has passed since you last scanned your computer for spy ware and viruses and that you've been doing your registry cleaning, disk cleanups and disk defragmenting on a regular basis. If you haven't done any of these things in the last seven days, do them all right now. Sometimes just by doing a spy ware search you can fix computer problems that you have been having.
4. If you have tried the first three suggestions and you still need help fixing PC problems, browse through the computer forums. There are a lot of computer forums on the internet that are just for fixing pc problems. If you can't fix computer problems, you will still be able to find a great many people who can fix your computer's problems and don't mind helping you diagnose the problem. There is also a large chance that somebody else has already had your problem and you can find out how they fixed it!
5. If you have done all of your computer maintenance-cleaning, scanning, etc, and you could not find a shred of information on the computer forums (even after you posted your problem and waited a couple of days for a response) and you can't find any information in any of your operational manuals, you will probably have to consult a professional who has experience fixing pc problems. This could end up costing you some money, but it will be worth it when your machine is up and running again.
Depending on the problem anyone can fix computer problems. It is amazing how fixing pc problems can often boil down to doing a few simple maintenance tasks or reading through some forums. It won't be long before the tech support people will be out of work!
